CDC: Analysis of Carbon Nanotubes and Nanofibers on Filters by Transmission Electron Microscopy
What it does
Provides detailed guidance on transmission electron microscopic characterization of carbon nanotubes and nanofibers that are sampled from occupational atmospheres.
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provide detailed guidance on effective means to perform transmission electron microscopic (TEM) analysis on carbon nanotubes and nanofibers that are sampled from occupational atmospheres. The purpose is to develop a best practices standardized method for the measurement of carbon nanostructured materials to which workers may be exposed. This draft chapter is to be published in the NIOSH Manual of Analytical Methods. Additional details are available by visiting 82 FR 11919.
