T h e HIV Community Account Strategy Sr Manager/Associate Director will be responsible for supporting the efforts of the Community Liaison team’s POA and reports to the Senior Director, Community Operations. The primary objective will be to drive prevention, SLTC (screening and linkage to care) and treatment education of appropriate patients and AHCPs across a variety of health care and community settings. She / He will partner closely across marketing functions (DTC/P, HCP Promo, and OLP) along with various cross functional stakeholders and external vendors to implement strategy and tactics oriented to this objective.


Essential Duties And Job Functions


  • Develop and lead t he overall HIV community field s t ra t egy
  • U t ilize mul t iple sources of in f orma t ion (e . g . primary and secondary market research, advisory boards, f ield f orce, e t c . ) t o uncover oppor t uni t ies t hat can positively impact patient’s engagement along the entire prevention and treatment care continuums
  • Execute marketing t ac t ical plans and messaging s t ra t egy f or HIV community field efforts
  • E xecu te t he field team’s P O A, including development of tools, c oordina t ion wi t h t raining, f acili t a t ing opera t ional suppor t , and driving accoun t abili t y
  • Collabora t e ex t ensively across t he organiza t ion par t icularly wi t h the broader HIV Marke t ing T eam, Medical Affairs, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, and Commercial Operations
  • Partner with the Promotional Review Committee to ensure marketing materials are approved for promotional use
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators, regularly tracking and measuring the success of initiatives and tactics
  • Lead agency relationships and o p t imizes agency u t iliza t ion and o t her ex t ernal resources in support of team imperatives
  • Lead launch planning and execution for the CL team
  • Closely manage a dedicated cost center and achieves budget t arge t s
  • Ensure compliance wi t h all relevant laws, regula t ions and policies

Knowledge, Experience And Skills


  • 7 - 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience
  • Marketing/HIV therapeutic area experience preferred
  • Understanding and experience in educating allied healthcare professionals, administrators and patients in community and healthcare settings
  • Strategic thinker with ability to develop and implement multidimensional business plans
  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials
  • Experience with Medical­Legal­Regulatory guidelines and cross functional promotional review committee
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills and ability to effectively and efficiently communicate to a variety of groups and audiences
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and proven track record of effectively managing multiple projects/priorities
  • Project management skills including analytical assessment, timeline and budget management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management, plan execution, and performance management
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and expertise as a leader with well-developed influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong presence with ability to command respect through exercise of sound business judgment and clear decision-making
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing budgets, with an understanding of expense budget planning and tracking
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced scientific degree preferred
