The National Institutes of Health's National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) announces their Office of Rare Diseases Research will host a webinar to provide information on the European Reference Networks on Rare Neurological Diseases (ERN-RND), and to explore potential areas for research collaboration with the European Union. Holm Graessner, Ph.D., MBA, coordinator of the ERN-RND, and Enrique Terol, Directorate-General of the European Commission, will be presenting. The ERNs are virtual networks involving healthcare providers across Europe. The aim of the networks is to tackle complex or rare diseases and conditions that require highly specialized treatment and concentrated knowledge and resources.

Investigators, clinicians and professional staff from the Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network program, Clinical and Translational Science Awards Program hubs, and the Trans-NIH-NCATS Rare Diseases workgroup, as well as others interested in rare diseases or forming international research partnerships are invited to participate.

More information is available via the NCATS website.
