What it does 

HR 1128, the Return to Work Awareness Act of 2017, enables the Department of Labor's Job Accommodation Network to disseminate information and promote awareness of such information to stroke survivors and to individuals with related conditions such as traumatic brain injury. This information includes how a survivor can:

  • Return to work;
  • Improve their employability and worth in the workplace; and 
  • Enhance their self-employment and entrepreneurship options.

HR 1128 was introduced in the House on February 16, 2017, where it was referred to the Committee on Education and the Workforce.
